On 4th November we will be hosting an exciting discussion between professional bodies from the UK, Australia and New Zealand in parallel with COP26. The event will run from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm (GMT), and will debut the Charter before an international audience of professionals and prospective members of professional bodies, focusing on how the professions can be transformed through the Charter to meet the priorities set out at COP26 and by the Race to Zero.
The event will comprise a presentation on the Charter, followed by a discussion between representatives from the professional bodies. The panel will be moderated by Heather McKay, Sustainable Finance Policy Advisor at E3G, and the panellists will include:
- Colin Church, CEO of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining
- Ethny Childs, Engagement and Communities Lead at the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES)
- Caroline May, Director at Aldersgate Group and Head of Environment, Health and Safety, Europe, Middle East, and Asia at Norton Rose Fulbright
- Klaus Veil, President, Australian Council of Professions
